New Results from Comprehensive Search for Unpredicted Gamma-ray Lines with INTEGRAL/SPI
Abstract
Gamma-Ray line study is one of the prime scientific goals of ESA's INTEGRAL mission. The INTEGRAL Spectrometer (SPI) is designed to detect and measure lines in the 20-8000 keV range with energy resolution of 2-8 keV. We have been carefully searching for evidence for any previously unpredicted Gamma-ray lines using the INTEGRAL public data (AO-1 through AO-6).
We will discuss our preliminary new results including potential sources of the 511keV lines, if any, around the galactic center.- Publication:
